Suspension Geometry

Suspension Geometry Required Information

The "Suspension" part type can have multiple uploads for a simulation. Once a part is uploaded, the part type needs to be changed to "Suspension" , shown in Image 1. An example of a suspension part is displayed in Image 2. When creating the geometry part, verify that parts of the suspension assembly that are intended to move are not topologically connected as this can create ripples or seams in the surface when the ride height is changed.

If the wheel has stationary parts such as brake calipers and uprights, it should be separated from the wheel assembly. If that part is included with the wheel during upload it will have a rotation applied to it which would not be present on the physical car.

Separated non-rotating wheel parts are shown on image 3. Once separated from the wheel this part should be uploaded to the type "Suspension".
